Alice and her big sister were sitting on the grass.
爱丽丝和姐姐坐在草地上。
Her sister was reading a book, but Alice had nothing to read. She looked at her sisters book again. There were no pictures in it.
她的姐姐在看一本书，但是爱丽丝没有什么可看的。她又看了看姐姐的那本书，上面一张图都没有。
“What good is a book without pictures” She wondered.
“没有画的书有什么好看的？”她觉得很纳闷。
It was a very hot day, and Alice wondered what to do. “Im so sleepy,” she said to herself. “Shall I look for some flowers, or is it too hot”
那天天非常热，爱丽丝不知道做些什么。“我好困啊。”她自言自语地说，“我是不是应该找些花来，还是天太热了？”
She saw a leaf falling from a tree, but she was too sleepy to look at it.
她看到一片树叶从树上掉下来，但是她太困了，就没有看。
Just then, a white rabbit ran by, very near to her. That does not happen every day, but Alice did not wonder about it. She did not wonder very much even when the rabbit said to itself, “Oh! Oh! I shall be too late!”
就在那时，一只白兔子从旁边跑过去，离她非常近。这种事可不是每天都能发生的，但是爱丽丝并没有感到奇怪。甚至当她听到白兔嘟囔：“哦！哦！我要迟到了！”，她都没有怎么吃惊。
But she did wonder when the rabbit took a watch out of its pocket and looked at it.

“A rabbit with a pocket” Alice asked herself. “And a watch in it”
“一只有兜儿的兔子？”爱丽丝心想，“而且兜儿里还有一块手表？”
She jumped up and ran after the White Rabbit. She was just in time to see him go down a big rabbit hole.
她跳起来，去追那只兔子，刚好来得及看到他钻进一个很大的兔子洞里面
Alice went into the hole too. She didnt stop to wonder how she could get out again.

She was not falling quickly. She had time to wonder “Whats going to happen next” She looked down, but there was no light there.
她掉得并不快，她还有时间琢磨“接下来会发生什么事呢？”她向下看，但是一点亮光都没有
Down, down, down. “Oh!” she said, “Its a long way. I shall never be afraid of falling again. I wonder where the hole will come out.”
掉呀，掉呀，掉呀。“哎呀！”她说，“好长的一段路啊。我以后都不会再害怕往下掉了，真想知道这个洞的出口在哪里。
